As a medical assistant, you will be an integral part of the healthcare delivery team. In this position, you
are considered a "multi-tasked" provider. This means you will be trained and qualified in both clinical and
administrative capabilities.
In your position as an Insurance Coding & Billing Specialist, you play an integral role in your employer's
office. You help make it possible for your employer to collect monetary reimbursements from patient insurance
providers.
At Concorde you will receive "multi-tasked" training, which means you will be trained in both clinical
and administrative capabilities.
As a massage therapist, you will have knowledge of basic science and the anatomy/physiology of the human body, as well as massage techniques
and manipulations designed to enhance the physical health of patients. You will also have an advanced knowledge of all body systems with particular
emphasis upon the skeletal and muscular systems of the body. This knowledge enables you to assess the needs of patients, develop individualized care
plans, and conduct therapeutic massage to treat a patient's illness. In addition, as a massage therapist, you will have advanced knowledge of medical
terminology, hygiene, safety and sanitation. To successfully practice, you will be provided with thorough knowledge of professional/business ethics
and the legal issues related to the practice of massage therapy.
Upon completion of the program and passing the licensing examination, you can enter the workforce as a competent, skilled nurse. Vocational nurses, as they are called in Texas and California, provide bedside nursing care at the direction of physicians and/or registered nurses. The practice of vocational nursing is based on concepts from the physical, biological and behavioral sciences. Each state has its own nurse practice act, so the scope of practice varies from state to state.
As a surgical technologist, you perform essential tasks before, during and after operations. You work closely with surgeons,
anesthesiologists, registered nurses and other key surgical personnel in hospital operating rooms and outpatient surgery centers.
Surgical technologists play a critical role in patient care.
As a respiratory therapist, you will assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of
heart/lung deficiencies and abnormalities, as well as utilize sophisticated equipment to measure
lung function and monitor heart functions. You might treat newborns, trauma victims, drowning
victims, and patients suffering from asthma, bronchitis, coronary heart disease, emphysema and pneumonia.
